Designing and Producing HTML5 Banners: Online Advertising for Maximum Engagement

About

Banner ads are a popular form of online advertising that are designed to catch the attention of website visitors and promote a brand, product, or service. These ads can be static, meaning they do not include any animation or movement, or they can be dynamic, using technology such as HTML5 to display animation and other interactive elements.

Regardless of the type of banner ad, their goal is to engage the viewer and encourage them to take a desired action, such as visiting a website or making a purchase.

Design

When designing and producing HTML5 banners, my process typically involves close collaboration with the client and any relevant consultants. I begin by discussing the desired content and determining the overall direction for the banner design.

Once I have a clear understanding of the client's goals and preferences, I will create a first draft of the banner design, usually in the form of a static banner. This allows me to explore different design options and get a sense of the overall aesthetic direction.

After the design direction has been agreed upon, I create an animated banner to establish the animation style and pacing. This is an important step as it ensures that the entire banner set is consistent in terms of animation and pacing.

Once the animation style and pacing have been finalized, I would use Adobe Animate to produce the rest of the banner set and make any necessary code adjustments to ensure that the banners are ready to launch. Throughout the process, I am always available to make any necessary changes or revisions to ensure that the final product meets the client's needs and expectations.
